(contd review of overlord)
I am finding out that this game plays like a role playing strategy game. It's not just another hack and slasher but somewhat of a strategic game....that doesn't take itself too seriously.
The minions you control are not only funny but with there specific powers play a different role on each level. Need to throw down in an all out brawl? Then use the brown minions. Want to plan a sneak attack, green minions are like the ninjas of the game. For picking off enemies from afar the red minions act as archers and throw fireballs at their targets. Any of your minions get killed in a battle? The blue minions are your medics.
The beauty of all of this is that yo can actually set up different posts for different minions and have a full scale battle on your screen...Browns throwing down on ground level, Reds shooting fire balls from above, Greens picking off unsuspecting enemies from behind and the Blues running out to revive any of the minions that get killed in battle.
Kinda like Lord of the rings meets Lemmings.
The frame rate on this game is excellent ..no freezing or drop rates while battles were going on....graphics look good in high depth and the musical score really draws you into the game.
I must say that is is one game I won't be trading in because the replay value is pretty high.
I'm giving this game a score of 8 for the graphics
9 for sound
and 9 for game play
total average= 8.7
