HULK SMASHED

Since my last review I've had a chance to play a copy of the new Incredible hulk game for the 360. Let me tell you this next gen version is like a whole new experience. A VERY SIMILAR YET BROKEN EXPERIENCE!!!!!! It looks like the team at Sega put all of their efforts in to making the hulk look cook ( and the character model for the green guy is gorgeous)....but that's about it...the rest of this game is so not next gen it isn't funny. The technical glithces and bugs that corrupt this game are unforgivavle. When the hulk walks now he makes no sound, when he runs he makes no sound. I mean, c'mon man since when has the hulk been known for his stealth like abilities?? Only when he lands do we get the sound of him crashing to the ground.
The bugs are so bad in this game that I was even able to walk through ( walk not smash) a couple of building walls. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE FOR NEXT GEN TECHNOLOGY!

And can somebody say "hulk crash?" Well this game did. Quite a few times. Very frustrating when your about to complete the final part of the many "missions" just to have to reboot and start over again.

And oh yeah the "missions" have turned the hulk from the instrument of destruction he was meant to be into a big green fetch, retrieve and protect controlable puppy. With all the sandbox type games that are out on the market does the hulk really need to be included in the mix?

The story line (no spoilers here) is almost nonexistent and laced with traces of the plot from the film that ties in with this game.

The sound is good and gratifying though when you tearing up NYC but after a while that gets pretty played too.

Honestly if you have ultimate destruction you can pass on this one. If you don't then rent Incredible Hulk and save the 60 bucks. However since Ultimate Destruction is backward compatible you should really try to get a copy for your collection. (review for Ultimate Destruction here)
Oh well I guess the new gen technology just cant keep up with the rage of the hulk.
Who knew?
